Time to Talk speech and language therapy & Autism assessment

Highly recommended for effective communication improvement.

For families who know that speech matters, we provide autism assessment and personalised speech and language therapy.

My three children have been attending Ahlem for nearly two years. She is so professional and knowledgeable. We initially came to Time to Talk for an autism assessment, and my children have continued to benefit from ongoing speech and language therapy. Ahlem has great resources that keep them interested and engaged. My children’s speech has improved so much, going from unintelligible to nearly perfect. I recommend time to talk Clonmel, Ahlem and her clinic highly. She has had such a positive impact on my children.

I would highly recommend Ahlem and speech and language therapy in ireland. My son has been attending for over 2 years now. In Summer of last year, we wanted to have our son for Autism Assessment and contacted with timetotalkslt. I was aware that there were certain criteria needed in order to be accepted by the HSE and Department of Education.

We have been attending weekly sessions with Ahlem for over a year and her progress with my son has been amazing. When we first met Ahlem, my son was non-verbal. Thanks to her support, he is now talking and communicating much more effectively. We have both learnt a lot from Ahlem. She is so kind and has great toys to keep the kids interested. She is also CORU registered so I am able to claim back the majority of the cost through my health insurance and most importantly my son loves seeing her every week.

FAQ'S for Autism Assessment

What are the 5 main symptoms of autism?

Differences in social communication, sensory processing, repetitive behaviours, focused interests, and preference for routines.

There isn’t one single sign—autism presents differently in every person.

ADHD, anxiety, OCD, social anxiety, trauma, and introversion can sometimes overlap with autistic traits.

Differences in communication, sensory differences, and repetitive behaviours or strong interests.

Traits often become noticeable between 12 months or even earlier if there is a history of autism in the family and 3 years, though some people are identified much later.

There is no single cause. Autism is linked to genetics, brain development before birth, and environmental influences during pregnancy.

Social communication differences, sensory sensitivities, repetitive movements, focused interests, preference for routine, differences in eye contact, literal thinking, stimming, emotional regulation differences, and masking.

Someone may feel different, mask their traits, experience sensory overwhelm, frequent abdominal pain, school refusal , struggle socially, and feel exhausted from adapting to others’ expectations.
