Book Your Autism Assessment & Speech Therapy Session

Ready to book a session with Time to Talk SLT? Whether you’re arranging a first assessment for your child, an evaluation for yourself as an adult, or the next appointment in an ongoing programme, booking takes just a few minutes and fits around your schedule. Below you’ll find everything you need to know before you book: which service to choose, what to expect, and how to prepare.

Which Service Should You Book?

Not sure where to start? Here’s a quick guide:

  • New to us and unsure what’s going on → Start with an initial consultation so we can point you toward the right assessment.
  • Concerned about autism, social communication, or repetitive behaviours → Book an autism assessment.
  • Concerned about speech sounds, clarity, or pronunciation → Book an articulation assessment.
  • Concerned about vocabulary, sentence building, or understanding language → Book a language delay or language disorder assessment.
  • Concerned about stammering or fluency → Book a stammering assessment.
  • Already assessed and starting or continuing therapy → Book an ongoing therapy session.

If you’re not sure which applies, get in touch beforehand and we’ll help you choose — you won’t be charged for asking.

How Booking Works

  1. Choose your service. Pick the assessment or therapy type above, or select “not sure” and we’ll advise you.
  2. Pick a date and time. Use the online booking calendar below to find a slot that suits you.
  3. Complete the short pre-appointment form. A few quick questions about your (or your child’s) history and concerns help us prepare properly before you arrive.
  4. Get your confirmation. You’ll receive an email with the date, time, location or video link, and anything you need to bring.
  5. Attend your session. Join us in our Clonmel clinic, or log in online — both options give you the same standard of assessment and care.

Online or In-Person: Which Should You Choose?

Both options are available for most services. In-person sessions at our Clonmel clinic work well for younger children, first assessments, or anyone who prefers face-to-face contact. Online sessions, delivered over a secure video platform, work equally well for many language and social communication goals and suit families who live further away or have a busy schedule. If you’re unsure which fits best, mention it on the pre-appointment form and we’ll advise you.

What to Bring or Prepare

  • Any previous reports — medical, educational, or from another therapist
  • A short list of your main concerns or questions
  • Information on hearing, general health, and how communication looks day to day at home or school
  • For online sessions: a device with camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet space
